Example 1:

Grade – 3.49 to 3.5

In the above example, it is acceptable to round up to one decimal place.

Grade – 3.99 to 4.0

In the above example, it is not acceptable to round up to one decimal place because 4.0 is reserved for a perfect grade. So consider leaving it to 3.99.

Grade – 3.515 to 3.5

In the above example, it is acceptable to round down.
